WOW-they say these things come in threes.
I really liked Ossie Davis. I think he was a very underrated actor.

Ossie played Cliff's father on The Cosby Show, didn't he? I was watching the CBS Evening News and I thought that I had seen him on Cosby before.

I believe you are thinking of Earl Hyman, who played Cliff's dad. Ossie Davis was on "Evening Shade" with Burt Reynolds during "The Cosby Show"'s run.
Ossie played Cliff's father on The Cosby Show, didn't he? I was watching the CBS Evening News and I thought that I had seen him on Cosby before.

wojeck is dead! RIP john vernon, he was a great canadian actor who was typecast by his role in animal house and became forever known as a villian. his 1960s tv show 'wojeck' was a landmark in that future cop and investigative dramas would all copy.

wojeck is dead! RIP john vernon, he was a great canadian actor who was typecast by his role in animal house and became forever known as a villian. his 1960s tv show 'wojeck' was a landmark in that future cop and investigative dramas would all copy.
He was also in the 1976 Clint Eastwood film "The Outlaw Josey Wales."

in that role he reluctantly played the villian, having been "commisioned" to hunt down josey. i loved it at the end when he told josey he never saw him and let him go.
