Every time I try to imbed a YouTube video and I hit preview, I get "Invalid YouTube link." Is there something going on or is it just my computer?

It did not work for me too, btw I was using Google Chrome then.

When you try to embed, does the URL start with http or https? I've noticed that when "https" is used, it'll display the "invalid Youtube Link" message.

I've forgot how to do it myself.   

You should always put http://www.inthe00s.com/Themes/core/images/bbc/youtube.gif in between the http.

I've noticed that when you link from youtube, the http sometimes contains an "s" next to it so you got to delete that to get the full showing of the video or it's gonna be shown as invalid.

I am having some serious issues with Youtube embedding, getting the same response. However, I don't have the 's' at the end of http so I don't really know what to do...  :(

pretty sure the youtube tag won't work with the shorter youtu.be links, is that an official youtube link or a shortener service? maybe I need to see if there's a newer mod that handles those

Youtube UK only offers short links in the 'share' section (which is where you would naturally go to share your videos). I've figured out that I just simply get the link directly from the browser above to get my long link to make the video work.

I think a round of karma is in order...  8)

I checked into the YouTube mod, and the authors have kind of gone off the deep end, so I doubt I'll be seeing a newer version that lets people use the shortener.  I checked, and it does appear to be an official shortener link.

Cheers Chucky. I don't really understand it, to be honest, apart from the fact that Youtube will only allow short links. As long as there is a way around it I'm as happy as a raccoon in a dustbin. :)
