Subject: "Save as Draft" in PM?

If there is a way to save as a draft while composing PM, I can't find it, nor can I find it in the Help topics. Thanks.
btw, vBulletin seems to have an "auto-save-as-draft" every X minutes, probably Admin-configurable. Yes, better to compose in a text doc in the first place, but is this feature available in SMF, at least without great effort or expense?

nope. there's some mods for doing that with regular posts, but not PMs
