Subject: AKA... New Game
OK, the thing in this game is to guess by which stage name bands/atrists became famous. Therefore, you can give birth names of artists, names famous bands had in the beginning of their career, early bands which consisted of just a few of the band members of a well-known band, etc'.
I hope this is clear. I'll start.
Who are Johnny and the Monkeys?

Subject: Re: AKA... New Game

No, they don't have a John/Johnny.
Clue - they're controvercial because I always end up arguing how overrated they are. ;)

Then I would say it's gotta be The Beatles (John Lennon). ;D ???
(I will wait to find out if I'm right before I post a new one)

I think you'll find that Fussy was correct, The Beatles started out as "The Quarrymen" aka "Johnny and the Moondogs" and "The Silver Beatles" then finally settling on "The Beatles".
Subject: Re: AKA... New Game
Not quite - see, between Johnny and the Moondogs they went through "The Silver Beetles", "The Silver Beatals", and "The Silver Beatles" in that order. Named after the school they were at at the time, Quarry Bank.
Edit: And yes, I do believe for a short time they skiffed as "The Monkeys" (sic).
