Then we can all vote on the one we'll accept and everybody else has to sit in pudding.
Here's mine:
A violent bout of PTS disorder was triggered with flashbacks to Nam, er, the Penguin Plague of '86, (when I voted for these categories the previous and only other time in my life), and I was too twitchy to type. The blood! The carnage! The beaks! DArN YOU, FLIGHTLESS WATERFOWL!

Being abducted by a different species of people? :'( I was all tied up in the milkyway, flying helplessly into the unknown. DId you know that they have great internet connections up there? So just remember, you never know who you're talking to on the net.

Here's a popular excuse in Indiana: I was too busy waiting for the liquor stores to open. (No alcohol is purchased during Election days and primaries. :( )
