While looking through the BBC live feed on coronavirus, I saw this picture of a deserted street in the U.S.A., and it does not look familiar to me. I think it is in New York.
Can my dear friends across the pond please tell me where it is?

Hmm. Looks a lot like some streets in Boston, Mass. Can't really say though.

After doing some detective work, I believe it is from the New York City area. Where in New York City, I couldn't tell you. I'm not familiar with the area.

The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco–style skyscraper located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood on the East Side of Manhattan, New York City, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue near Midtown Manhattan. At 1,046 feet (318.9 m), the structure was the world's tallest building for 11 months before it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931. It is the tallest brick building in the world with a steel framework. As of 2019, the Chrysler is the 11th-tallest building in the city, tied with The New York Times Building.

When I saw the original photo, the wording was not under the picture.
Also, The Chrysler Building is my favourite building in NYC, it is for the art-deco design.
