What is your favorite year of the early 2000s?
2003. Finding Nemo, Lord of the Rings, Zelda: The Wind Waker, GTA Vice City, my cousins and I had the best summer ever by just doing regular kid stuff.

My MATURE intelligent 12 year old cousin was born in 2004 and we're good friends, as a Spider-Man fan I loved that Spider-Man 2 came out that year and I loved it. In my opinion probably the last good year for music was 2004. (although 2013 was a revival year). I turned 10 and had a good fourth grade year. Nintendo DS and GTA: San Andreas.

Ah I see. Yeah, 2004 was great for me too. It's amazing how that year was 12 years ago! :o ;D

I know. Eh it might just be childhood amnesia. I do recall things from the early 2000s. It's just not as much as most people.

Okay. I only find early-mid 2006 to be unique, since late 2006 was just really boring. Although, it did get more excited to me around 2007.

That's interesting. You were almost two at the time, so I think that's why you remember it. Although, it's not like your memory was that good as a toddler.

My first two memories were:
1. The columns on the mall where my 1st birthday was held. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shangri-La_Plaza (At least I think so.)
2. Mama by the Spice Girls, which I heard in a birthday party when I was only 1.

It's really vague and it's kind of an "I know it when I see it" memory, and while I could recognize the columns when I went there nine years ago, they've changed enough that I no longer could recognize them.

Nickelodeon: Popular opinions are 1996, 2004, and 2009. Here's what I think of it. 1996 definitely wasn't the start of it because they still had quality content airing at the time and quality content airing in the future. It started in 2004 when all their classics came to a sudden end and SpongeBob went sour. Even with all that Nickelodeon still had a good side in 2004 because they still had Drake & Josh, Neds Declassified, Jimmy Neutron, CatDog, Danny Phantom, FOP in its prime, Avatar coming out in early 2005. 2006 was fine for Nick too because they had all those shows (besides CatDog) airing. The bad side was Jimmy Neutron ended (same with Blue's Clues D:) The X's started, Invader Zim was officially cancelled. But it still had enough to redeem its self............until 2007. 2007 marked when iCarly started, Back at the Barnyard, Tak and the Power of Juju, El Tigre was meh and so was Just Jordan. Drake & Josh, Danny Phantom, and Neds Declasssified ended. But it still had enough to redeem its self. 2008 was technically the death but later I'll tell you why 2009 is. Mighty B, True Jackson VP, SpongeBob goes at its worst, FOP starts to die, Avatar, Zoey 101, and Chalkzone ended, and the death was 2009. They killed the splat, started airing Fanboy & Chum Chum, The Troop, and Big Time Rush. Cartoon Network however died in 2007 because that's when the first live action show aired on CARTOON Network. It will be fully restored when they end TTG, PPG, UG, and Wabbit.

I don't really see Nickelodeon dying in 1996 as a popular opinion. Even towards the majority of the Internet, they'll rather go with 2004 or 2009. I think maybe 1996 was a popular opinion back in the 90s and early-mid 2000s, before late 90s kids took over from the nostalgia community around 2007.

The mid 2000s were totally cool for Nickelodeon back then. By the way, it's kinda surprising that you think Blue's Clues ended in 2006, when most of these people here think that it died out when Steve left in 2002. Although, it was kinda sad for me when Blue's Clues ended. It was probably like one of the last things on Nick Jr. before I stopped watching around early 2007.

Huh. I do think in 2009 was when Nickelodeon wasn't itself anymore. Even seven years after they changed their beloved logo, I still see how cringy their network is whenever I see any of their programming.
Cartoon Network however died in 2007 because that's when the first live action show aired on CARTOON Network. It will be fully restored when they end TTG, PPG, UG, and Wabbit.
If you're talking about Out of Jimmy's Head, then that show technically had some animated features. The talking cartoon animals, I meant.
