I have a vague memory...
Two girls playing with a doll house. They had little forks and plates and they were setting the dollhouse table. A cat runs thru knocking stuff over.
So, do you know this and what was it for, a number or a letter??

It was for the Number 2, here's a bit of what my memory recalls of the song:
"One, two
Two little dolls,
One two
Two little chairs
Two little dolls
In a little doll house...(etc.)
Two little girls serve two dolls tea
Behaving grownup as can be
They have two cups, one and two
I can count them, why don't you..."
Two cats come in and crash the tea party, much to the delight of the giggly girls playing with the dolls.

That big fat SS box set that is too damned expensive and way too many pop songs has the soundtrack to that song. Henson does all the voices except for the ladies.

Very good question. Possibly to avoid cutting into the DVD market (Season 1 and a couple "best of" compilations are currently in stores). Also likely that it's not commercially feasible for the cost of syndication--I could only see maybe TVLand or Nick at Nite running these shows nowadays.

What was the funniest edition of The Muppet Show?
I can't remember an episode being particularly the funniest, just moments. I can say I remember fondly the unusual Steve Martin episode where the Muppet Theater is closed for auditions and they accidentally hire Steve (still in his Wild & Crazy Guy standup mode) as the guest. He sang "Ramblin' Guy" on the banjo, if memory serves. There was a higher number than usual of bizarre "acts" that graced the stage, odder still without a laughtrack--just the laughter of the crew standing by on the sets.

Swedish Chef very high on my list of faves, and Veteranarian's Hospital (corniest jokes ever). What was it about Gonzo and those chickens anyway? ;)
Also memorable: Rudolph Nureyev forskakes his dignity to do 'Swine Lake' (much to Sam Eagle's horror), James Coburn calling a totally non-PC Chinese square dance ("do a do-si-do with an "Ah so-so!"), talentless Brooke Shields in a complete Alice In Wonderland spoof, Spike Milligan doing his Goonish nutty stuff, Alice Cooper dancing with Muppet monsters for "Welcome To My Nightmare", crocodiles joining Elton John for "Crocodile Rock"...

Subject: Re: Ask me about The Muppets, Sesame Street, or The Electric Company
Written By: agrimorfee on 06/20/06 at 2:07 pm
Was that the blue guy with orange hair? That was identified on records as "Chris & The Alphabeats". The song you might be remembering is "Count It Higher". "Chris" was actually the composer of the tune, Chris Beard, who composed many rock spoof songs for SS, and is also well-known as a humor writer for The National Lampoon and many wacky parody books.
Now if it was orange hair but a green body, wearing kind of a paisley wrap and a necklace...that singer was part of the group identified as "Jerry & the Monotones", doing "The Telephone Rock" and other hip tunes. "Jerry" was Muppet performer Jerry Nelson (aka Herry Monster, Farley, Mumford, Kermit's nephew Robin, etc.)...

I remember that special...it was a milestone, as the first Muppet production without Jim Henson. It was a big thing that Kermit (played then by Henson's son, Brian) purposely did not appear until the end.
The Muppet Movie of course, is THE Muppet movie. They drop in quality after each successive flick.

I remember a show once featuring Miss Piggy in a green, black and pink dotted emsemble made to look like a watermelon, do you know what that show was called.
One more: ;D
I know that there were a lot of music video covers that the Muppets made (Like Kokomo, etc) but I remember one very vividly. Kermit is singing onstage and Piggy is playing as hyper fan and grabs his arms and stretches them like a mile long, and Kermit turns to the camera with his eyes bugging out his head. DO you know what song that was, cause I'd LOVE to see that video again!

$100,000 Question... WHERE ARE THE MUPPET BABY ANIMATED SHOWS??
Ok I collected them from the VHS tapes through the 90's..then I remember DISNEY bought the company(or product package)..so people seen original airing 1984-1990 and reruns.. skipping the kids in the 90's -2008..
I see NO reruns OR DVD'S! I still have stickers and their toothbrush products.
ANY ONE KNOW?Hope they don't fade from mmory
THENEW MUPPET SHOWS I THINK WERE DONE IN GERMANY OR FRANCE BUT PROBABLY CAN'T BE VIEWED EXCEPT ONLINE.
There used to be a Muppet Fan site..but I'm thinking it is losing steam..they had a section for Muppet Babies fans buti think the last posting/updates were around 2005!

Sesame Street Question: The Count has had rumors circulating about him that he is an illegal immigrant and doesn't have a proper working permit. Others question whether it counts, since it's unknown whether or not Sesame Street is in the United States. Could you possibly shed some light on this matter?

Making the rounds of the blogosphere today, I came across this little bit of awesome:
9KorhvVQRUM
- Original pitch reel for The Muppet Show. I'd have bought it too. I love the way it ramps up from a proof-of-concept to the sheer insanity that made the Muppet Show awesome.
"And when this show hits, the careers of the men who made the decision to put this show on the air will skyrocket!"
"SO BUY THIS SHOW AND PUT IT ON THE AIR! 'Cos we'll all be famous, the muppets'll be famous, and CBS will be famous because we'll have a hit show on our hands, and we'll all get temperamental and hard to work with, but you won't care because we'll all make a lot of money!"
