Actually, I do have a good question about Cape Cod. U.S. Hwy 6 runs through my hometown in the Midwest, and one time I was studying a U.S. road atlas and I traced U.S. 6 all the way east through Massachusetts and right up to the end of Cape Cod. (I also traced U.S. 6 west and it ends in Bishop, California where it turns into U.S. 395, so it's nearly a transcontinental highway. Thought you might be interested in knowing that.) And so, my chowderheaded friend, my question is this: What is at the end of U.S. Highway 6 in Cape Cod???

A simple rotary, actually, at Provincetown(Known to me as the San Francisco of the east) has been converted to a near T intersection. There is a Bishop 3,### Miles sign. The Mid-Cape Highway, in Dennis, is known as "Suicide Alley, because it is a super 2.

I know Patti Page (God bless her!) sang about the place many years ago...
Has it always been a big tourist area, or just in post-WW2 times?
