Subject: Best years for video games
Written By: 1999 Baby, 2000s Kid on 08/27/16 at 10:09 pm
I think 1998, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2011, and 2015 (I know modern years are hated, but I think it's a really good year) were the best years for gaming in general. I like games from the '70s, '80s, and the rest of the '90s, but I personally find the years I mentioned to be better.
What do you guys think are the best years for gaming?

For me, I am going to say between 1985 - 1992 because standards in gaming were being pushed and there was little expectation from consumers who were very excited to see new games come out. Super Mario, Duck Hunt, Punch Out! The Legend of Zelda, Megaman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out for The NEs. Golden Axe, Sonic The Hedgehog and Road Rash for Sega. Super Mario World and Streetfighter 2 for the SNES and Pit Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Ecco the Dolphin started to feature 'realistic' digitised sprites.
