This is something I did with DJ Blaze and Gohanzo1 on Pokemon Heartgold. It was interesting, so I'd thought I'd do it again, this time I doing it on 2 sites. I did a coin toss to see which site I would start the thread on first, which ended up being Inthe00s.

The rules:

1. 2 People each pick a Pokemon for me to train(For a total of 2 Pokemon), go by the final evolved form of it if it has one(since I'm not doing a base form challenge or anything like that).
2. No two primary types can match, but a secondary typing on a different Pokemon can match a primary typing from a previously chosen one.
3. No more than one flying type can be picked, since most flying types are secondary typing.
4. If a starter gets picked, no other starters can be picked, due to only being able to pick one in game.
5. Pokemon Black is the version I'm getting, so White version exclusives can't be picked due to lack of trading. The exception is if I can get the Pokemon through an ingame trade.

6. Only one Pokemon line that is a trade evo will be allowed period, since that's all I can really tolerate at a time.
7. Also, stick to the new 5th gen Pokemon, you can't get anything from the earlier gens until post game.

Yeah, I remember seeing it on the Fire Emblem boards: "You cannot grasp the true form of Joshua's hat!" Also, GameFAQs's BW boards were disruptive with joke topics (or toke jopics) about Luvdisc bets and airports.

Also, I typed in "Mudkip" on the game search and got "Micro MUD". Went on its board and saw a thread called "Who searched for Mudkip?"

The last time I went to the Pokemon Black board, alot of people were arguing over where Isshu/Unova was based on, there were those who denied it could even be U.S.(mainly because they don't like the U.S. or NYC) It was revealed that the region was indeed based at least partially around the U.S.(with Hiun city being based on a particular city in the U.S.) I also remember the Starter Evo blow up there(and on 4chan's /vp/ board) While that was controversial for alittle while, it was interesting to read all that going on.

I might go ahead on start the one on Woodus tommorrow or Tuesday, I kinda forgot that this site doesn't have as many gamers(that might not be getting the next games either) and make it to where I'll pick the two final slots(and see what Gohanzo1's choice will be later this week and add it on here, he'll be coming over on Friday).

I remember you making a joke that the cities would be based on real cities.... in America! (Bandit Keith joke) That's cool that your nephew will be helping out. Wonder what his choice will be....

Those jokes were based around the arguments too, then the creators confirmed it later around the Japanese release.

He has to see what's available in the version I'm getting first before he decides. He mainly wanted the White version for Zekrom himself, while I went with getting the opposite. Which actually works out, I have more favorites on Black. Although you can do an ingame traded for one of the White exclusives(Monmen for Churine on Black, vice versa on White).

Purrloin... I think it references something to do with stealing(I'll have to check) plus the purr a cat can make.

Hmm... I still like Samurott for Daikenki. And the legendaries names.... stayed the same, just Americanized.

And now Bel is a Zenithian apparently(Dragon Quest 5 reference, couldn't help myself), kind of surprised they named her Bianca(Both Bel and Bianca mean White).
