I'm going to try making something to advertise all the games available here, over on the other decade sites to encourage more people to sign up and play the games.  I'm currently adding all the thumbnail images back into the arcade (a dreary task at best), and need to know if there's still broken or incorrectly scoring games, etc.

I noticed there's a "reverse" option in there, which I guess is for games where the object is to be the lowest scoring individual.  If you see any of those, let me know.

What about the old scores for "Guests" (people who've erased their accounts)? The champions on some of the games are ex-members.

Marble and Marblebalencesm are the exact same games.  McDonalds SKYOECT is a duplicate of the McD game.  Soccer and Keepy Uppy are duplicate.

If you go the full 60 seconds you can't submit your score.

I just got a score of 482 in 59 seconds. This game will probably be deleted for being buggy and containing an exploit.

Hint: If you trap the ball under the paddle (by hitting it on the very end), you get big scores.

Tam managed to score in both of the Maze Frenzy games - they are ridiculously difficult (and probably reverse scored too). I don't have the patience or a good enough mouse to even get a score.

I played it, and you are right. The game is definitely broken. Gone.

Bug Patrol doesn't keep score.  After you submit your score in, it submits it somewhere else. Right now it brings me to ROLF.

Zitzenzauber  doesn't seem to work

This probably should have been mentioned ages ago..... "Billards" and "Pool" have got to be true duplicates of each other. It's exactly the same...in both games, you have a pool table, with 10 balls, and 5 minutes to get them all in. One of them should stay and the other should go, if you ask me.

The only difference between 'em is the name.

Mahjong Connect seems to have problems (both of them). The one with the two ?? sometimes doesn't let me get to level 2 and both of them have problems with the hints. Sometimes when I hit the hint button, it will show me two unmatching tiles-or it will just highlight 1 tile. BTW, they are two different games. The first level is the same in both of them but level 2 is totally different. I can't say anything about level 3 because I only made it to level 3 in one of them.  :-\\

Mario Star Catcher 2 is the same as Mario Star Catcher, only the score goes by level instead of coins

Plus, if you beat the game, you cannot submit your score, and if you die on Level 19 (last level before Bowser), the game freezes

There seems to be a bug in the Solitaire game now...I click on the game, press "Deal"...and not all seven stacks show up and/or have a card showing on top. :-\\

Magic Arrows is broken.  If you finish the game, you can't submit your score.  Probably a good thing though.  Those later levels are so easy, it's like taking candy from a baby ;D

Hey I just tried to play Reflex but when the page loads... it takes me to a new page "barraxworld"  I can't get the window to stay on the game page...

Fish Tales should go IMO, because:

1. You can't submit a high score once you've beaten the game
2. You only get to play a limited number of levels for free (I didn't keep track, 'cause I didn't think it mattered at the time, but I think it's 16 or 17)
3. The bonus levels (levels 7 and 11) suck, with only the small fish to catch. It takes forever!
4. If you lose a live, you drop back in growth, but not in points. So in a weird way, losing a live actually is good for your points.

Are you using a lap top too? I'm using one right now, and it lacks a mouse...so I know how that feels. A mouse would definitely work quicker to play some of these games.

yeah I spread my fingers so far on one of those targets that I fear I might have pulled something  ;D

I use my touch pad nearly all the time but I do have an optical mouse. 

The touch pad isn't very easy to use when playing some of these games. I don't have an ability to get as good a score as with a mouse.

Well, her is something interesting.... if we have to upgrade the smf for the arcade - we might actually get ot figure out what games are working and what games aren't - ie. the slow load of the main arcade page. Might even in the end have to reload the games, which would mean that people would have to start out with clean slates again... interesting, no?

Yep, that's how golf scoring works. The lower number of strokes you have, the better.

which is in reverse order. You were correct in the earlier post, the lower the score the better.

It is now completely fixed.
It is scoring properly with the lowest score in first place.
I had to delete a guest score in order for it to reload with the proper order! 8)

Thanks Tam, as for the 5th hole, it is a little difficult but if you putt it left about the distance of the hole -- keeping
the ball on the green -- that will leave a straight putt at the hole, putt the ball as if the water isn't there.  ;)

I'll have to try that too because I noticed several games with odd scoring but I thought I'd give you a break!  ;)

Unless I'm hitting the wrong refresh button or something the 1,2,10 skip in the position #'s is still there.  If you don't see them let me know Tam and I'll have a computer nerd check my computer.

I noticed my 22,000 score in woopass was gone and I'm now in 1st with 21,000  yeah! problem solved.

yeah the duplicate names won't go away until the people play again and submit a score then it will keep the highest score and eliminate the lower ones.

well i just went back to Xpansion js, saw the 1,2,10 split in the positions and called my computer nerd brother in.  He doesn't think there's anything wrong with my computer.

I didn't know there was a max of scores.  Good thing all my sub scores got erased. 

well i just went back to Xpansion js, saw the 1,2,10 split in the positions and called my computer nerd brother in.  He doesn't think there's anything wrong with my computer.


I don't think the computer is the problem. It's the site; ever since the highscore policy changed there's been this problem. I still have quite a few games to play before I clear the multitude of scores I've achieved these past 3 years.



I played Twin Sonice the other day (and didn't get a great score), but I wiped away the 200 some scores I had on that game LOL

I was going to retire from that one after getting the top spot in early 2008, but I've gone back to play it again at least one time since...and I know I've achieved a multitude of scores on that one...including some not-so-good scores. lol

There's lots of games that do that, but they can use clearing out too and in some of them lots. 

The last couple of times I played 'Mario Time Attack' the game has frozen at the end and not saved my new score. It has happened on my work computer (lunch time of course) and my home PC. My score was 61 but it just freezes....  I noticed wildcard had her score saved earlier today on the same game....but because it happened at two very different venues I think the game has become corrupted somehow....

I did end up with a best score and a score on the board some how.  I beat both so I'd have one score.  Did you try it now that I have one score or was this while I had two?

The game entitled "Mahjongg" (http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php?action=arcade;sa=highscore;game=181) registered my highscore incorrectly on the leaderboard...higher up from where it should be. Not only that, but there are some scoring gaps in the table too.

Erm.... what is with the wonky scoring in Mario Poker?

Is it a game that needs to be removed?
I played and played and played - but my score was jumping all over the place. One minute I had 5000, next bet of 1000 I lost, but it said my score was -8000. :D

I was playing Mario Poker and had no problem.  Had 8000 raised it to 27000.  There was also a time I got 0 and the game ended.  That makes me wonder how - scores got recorded.

Just played it again started me with my 27000 and raised it to 28000.  I don't know why there are - scores, 0's, and a 1? recorded.  This should have been set up to record one score each person from the start.  We'll just have to wait and see if people come clear it.

The past couple days I was wondering if I should volunteer to help delete Guest scores.  Cant be that hard to figure out how to do that.

Still playing q- bert the only 2004 easy games and so far the only one that doesn't mess up is Ice.  Some of them I just stopped playing because the snake froze.  I had another one just go nuts at a certain point.

Last q-bert report    the 2004 is screwed up two of them are not playable at all past a certain point.  This goes for easy and normal.  The arcade seems to work great  on both easy and normal.  If someone still has the game disk for the q-bert games put in the arcade seprately.  2004 was seprate too, but it might be screwed up too.

I played a game and did not not beat my high score but all the other scores went away leaving holes on the score board. When I played a second game I beat my high score and all the scores appear normal....

Yeah, I just tried it on Pingu Sports....you have to beat or tie your highest score to clear up your scoreboard.

Yep any score clears but you have to beat your high score to fix gaps if you're the one that made the gap.   

What's the deal with games like McrJS  ....where my best score is 401. I just got 297 which is now displayed in the list as my best score...but the 401 is still my top score under the game icon????

You click the mouse once to drop off of the ramp. Near the bottom, click again to "pop" up into the air. From there it's like a helicoptor game, where you have to hold the left click button down and release it to make the guy go up and down.

If you "pop" too early, you'll go into the clouds and it's game over. If you "pop" too late, you smack the ground and same thing. The closer you pop to the bottom of the ramp, the slower your skateboarder flies through the air. That makes it easier to dodge bombs, but you also accumuluate points at a slower rate.

Now that I think about it, Air Skating is the only game I can recall that scrolls right to left.

Tip and run- on the first level I pushed the the blue guy closest to the blue square ( the exit) down it.  I pushed the rock over and dug underneith so it would fall in the space between the two blue guy things.  After pushing the other one down the exit, I was able to exit.  It's a puzzle to get the stuff down the exit so you can exit before your head falls off.

I played Tip and Run last night until I had a massive headache (but it was worth it to annoy Snoz ;)....only to be rewarded with losing another championship. It seems ninny, wildcard and nsr have more time to devote to these games and will always hit back (and usually swiftly). I will soon start to forget about attempting to regain these titles as I always feel compelled to try to win them back. When they are ALL gone maybe then I will not feel so 'owned' by the arcade!

Having said all that though....I'd better get cracking if I want to regain that title... ;D

Yes...I'm not really interested in playing the same game over and over just to get the same score (but credited the championship). There are several games like that on here and usually ninny or yourself play it one more time than I'm prepared to.... :-\\  ....and Mazen, for example, takes a long time to play as well.....and I just know I'll have a PM awaiting me next time I log in telling me that I am no longer champion. Military Snow is like that....Snoz and I have been vying for top score with 745. I have now ceased to play it as I don't believe there can be a higher score. Q can have the high score...or has ninny taken it since then?

I don't mind replaying if there is a chance of even getting one or two points more. Like in Bump Copter recently...where I got your high score by a few points.  :P

It's all good. I try and I get so far, but then I always accidentally block the bat and end up killing myself. I probably won't figure it out for a while... so your score is definitely safe! 8) (Plus, I am not out for championships... as soon as I get one, it is taken away!) ;D ;D

Yes...I'm not really interested in playing the same game over and over just to get the same score (but credited the championship). There are several games like that on here and usually ninny or yourself play it one more time than I'm prepared to.... :-\\  ....and Mazen, for example, takes a long time to play as well.....and I just know I'll have a PM awaiting me next time I log in telling me that I am no longer champion. Military Snow is like that....Snoz and I have been vying for top score with 745. I have now ceased to play it as I don't believe there can be a higher score. Q can have the high score...or has ninny taken it since then?

I don't mind replaying if there is a chance of even getting one or two points more. Like in Bump Copter recently...where I got your high score by a few points.  :P

You notice that top score by nsr? That's WAY more than any of us have scored. And you know why? 'Cause it's cheatable: just let it run idle for hours on end while you make sure the spacebar is pressed (each jump will get you 10 points).

I see what you mean Henk.  The game is now a waste of time....  It should be removed!

The end of the game ( Vlax) will let you run back and forth at the end of the game and still add points to your score until you want to submit it.

I lost 3 key cards that would have finished the board and ended my frustration. It only happened to me once before, has it

Word Slider seems to have developed a glitch. Sometimes it won't let go of a letter and now it is jumping
from level to level and not allowing the game to be played. It also jumps levels on my wife's laptop so it is
not my computer, as I first thought.

.....and I only started improving my score on that game yesterday too!  :-\\  ...but I also experienced the same issues mentioned. It was flaky...and had to go!  Hopefully, the same criteria will not apply to me!  :D

I don't even remember that game.  But judging from you guys' playing of it, makes me wonder how I scored tops in it?  Must've been one of the ones I cheated on ;D

I had no issues with it when playing yesterday!  Except that I sucked...of course! ;)

Maybe you have to get killed in order to play it.  I played a few games in which I reached level2 long before I had 1000 points.  Not sure if the game is weird or it's gone crazy, but I have no memory of it suddenly going game over..
