Subject: Let's split these into categories
Written By: ChuckyG on 02/09/06 at 8:20 am
I might add more, might not. Right now though, there's so many, that they need to get broken into categories. These are what I propose:
Card Games
Arcade Games
Strategy Games
Action Games
Miscellaneous
any better suggestions?

There's also puzzle games, like Mahjong and Tetris and Znax...but would they fall into the category of "Strategy" games?

Maybe that's a better description. I think strategy games tend to be more like that McDonald's thing I stuck up there.

The games that do not record high scores could use their own category.

good point. and this is a very good idea.
I only want to play games that use the mouse...not keys (stealth gaming at work).
is there an idicator for that? actually, that's being pretty picky. perhaps a sppe vs. luck vs. skill indication?

Report those to me in the broken games thread. I guess I could make a category and keep them around for people who want to play them even if they don't record

There are also games that require the mouse, like Znax and Mahjong (because you have to click on them)...and games that don't (like Tetris, where you use the navigation keys). I suppose some games could fall into a number of different categories.

I think those ones should be removed. No point in playing them if you cannot get a score :-\\

I disagree. A lot of these games (jewels...) I'll just come on here and play to pass the time. I could easily play that one sans scoring.
There might be a category or notation for games where the scoring is the reverse of what you'd think it should be (color boxes, 100 meter...)
I s'pose a category for the non scoreless ones would work. I like the idea of a category for the ones with reverse score. If only there was a way to make so the scoring was proper in those games :\'(
Darts is another one where the scoring is all messed up :(

Wall Ball is another game that can be placed in the Non scoring category
just wasted like 45 minutes getting a good score :\'(
