I need to move my websites to a new hosting provider, and the database for inthe00s is too large to move, and the software the website uses is too old.  So I will run the archive scripts March 1st, and will only be moving the static version of the website to the new server.

It doesn't look like it. According to wix.com:

I'm shocked to hear this. It's been years since I've been a regular contributor to inthe00s, but I created an account here back in 2016 and it's a site I enjoyed frequenting for many years. If it weren't for inthe00s, I never would have met a lot of great people who share similar interests as me. So I am disappointed to hear that it's closing for good.

It took me looking at a recent song parody on Amiright that got me to this forum.  I'm putting out a call to all active contributors of Amiright.  Are you content with your last song submission as your sendoff to the website?  For me, no.  Senate Confirmations is not the way I want to leave my mark on that website.  It's a race against time and I think we need to submit our best for all the work put into creating this website.  Anybody with me on replies or should I have started this on another forum thread conversation?

I've only been a member here for a few months and am very sad to hear the news.  :\'( It was great getting to know everyone here, though.

Seeing this website shutting down in only 8 days from now also concerns me about the future of web forums and how much longer they'll be around for (at least for the ones that are still around in the year 2025, given how many have shut down already not too long ago and the continued rise and dominance of modern mainstream social media sites contributing to the unfortunate decline of these sorts of websites).

It would be nice if Chuck could find a way to make it work :(

I just wrote and submitted another parody, a proper Amiright sendoff, a song about Amright I'd been wanting to write for over a decade when the OS was popular.

I also many times wanted to do a zombie parody of Tove Lo's "Talking Body" every time Halloween rolled around. Never got around to it. And my Foreigner parody about Squid Game in unfinished because I never finished the show.

And I just realized that these two send-offs will make my total parodies add up to 555.  :o  :)

Yeah, and I’m bummed about that too. I first stumbled across that site 25 years ago, when it was still fairly new, and have enjoyed it too. My favorite part of Amiright is the misheard lyrics; and since 2008 I’ve been helping to keep that section up to date. I’d like for us to still be able to see those.

Heard through the grapevine that this place was shutting down. Sucks. Despite my many many MANY beefs with some people on here, along with some light stalking from some creepo, I had a blast on this forum. Made a ton of friends who I have had the pleasure of seeing once or twice in this life. Like MidKnight Darkness, I met my husband on here, and we've been going strong for 20+ years.
