they haven't used him in ages...
Yesterday was 6/11/9 if you write your dates the wrong way (non-American way >grin<)... which can be rotated 180 degrees and still read the same (ambigram)... so that was why I rotated the smileys...

I always write my dates differently than most people around here. I would write today's date as 8 Nov 09.

At work (and normally when writing) I use 08/11/09 for what is today's date, so 6/11/9 for 06/11/09 is not quite the same.

Same here. I was stumped.
Of course, being that I am in the US, my brain always interprets "6/11" as June 11th. I always write the month before the day when using the numerical form. Mainly I use month/day/year; sometimes I even use fullyear-month-day (example: 2009-11-06).
By the way, the crying emoticon is still topsy turvy. :\'(

That's the format I've started using since moving here. My instinct is always to write the day number first so then I started writing out the month to save any confusion.

I sometimes do that when writing the date in long form. (That is, spelling out the month name or abbreviating it...such as "November" or "Nov.") So I would write "9 Nov 2009" or "November 9, 2009", depending upon circumstances.
But when I write the numerical version, I always put the month before the day.

So today is the opposite of 9/11 (11/09/09) (i.e. not Sept 11, but Nov 9)

does that mean Rudy Guillani will rise from the grave and see his shadow or something?
