My name in inthe00s.com is tokjct.  My wife joined the group and her name is laffytaffy.  We originally had internet explorer as our server. However, we have had troubles with that server for the past two months and now we use Mozilla Firefox as our server.  I keep trying to logout from laffytaffy and then I would login under the name tokjct.  I cannot do this and I do not know why.  I used to be able to do it, easily.  Now, I cannot.  Can you advise how to solve this problem.

I know for some (me included), you can't log out of inthe00s if you use Firefox.  Internet Explorer will let you log out just fine

I'm not sure why Firefox does this, but it's another reason why Internet Explorer is better than Firefox (though some will tell you vice versa)

nonsense.  I use Firefox almost exclusively and have never had an issue logging out. 

I don't know what's causing your issue.  Could be that your browser is not refreshing the page (looking a cached copy), or you have a problem with cookies.  It would help if you tell us what browser you are using, and any other software such as firewalls or ad blocking software.

I cleaned out my computer thoroughly, ran all kinds of virus and cleaming programs .. I basically went over my computer with a fine toothed comb, and I still couldn't log out, but it was not a big issue for me cause I don't like Firefox LOL so I just stopped using it altogether

IE does all I need.  I don't need nothign fancy.  Just a browser that can get me to where I need to go lol

The only problem we had with IE was the inability to access our email.  The only solution, according to Bell South, was to switch to Mozilla Firefox.
So I can access my email. But...with Mozilla Firefox, I cannot logout of the "laffytaffy" name and log in as "tokjct".

I searched the software support forum, and the recommendation for everyone that asks the question about logging out with Firefox, is to clear your cookies.

Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Show Cookies

scroll down the list of sites, find inthe00s and delete the cookies.

You shouldn't have to do it every time, maybe it isn't being updated properly for some reason and resetting it will help.

as a further note... from what I can tell, this issue occurs if you changed your cookie settings after you visited the site but didn't log out.  The cookie on your hard drive no longer pays attention due to the change in security.
