Sorry it took me so long to get the new site up and running.  I wasn't planning on starting the new software for at least a few more weeks.  I'm not even sure the old messageboard was entirely responsible for the problems the other server was having.

Due to the problems with the old board, the messages could not be imported into this one.  That also goes for user accounts.  Your post counts are gone (sorry!).  Everyone's on equal footing, and I won't be changing anyone's post counts.

You'll notice I didn't add a voting forum.  It's not needed, feel free to post a voting topic on any board you like.  If people still want a seperate forum for just crazy voting stuff, I'll add one.

There's also no need to terminate a thread once it hits a fix number of posts like we used to with the older software.

Anyways, I'm still working on the site, trying to set things up.  Feel free to ask questions, though I probably won't know the answer.

you can UPLOAD your avatar picture to the server, instead of having to find hosting space somewhere for it.

yeah, well it only works if you actually hit the button...  it checks quoted messages, which I personally don't care for.  The software is still beta, so do expect some things to not work 100%.  It's still way better than what I was using before, and is much easier to upgrade.  Hopefully we won't be losing all the messages again when I upgrade as a result.

the stuff added to the inthe80s website (and 70s and 90s) are unaffected (though the server is still acting up).  The inthe00s messages are archived at http://www.inthe00s.com/archive/

Hi Everyone.It's me Howard again. I've been waiting for such a long,long time.At least a week.I was very impatient after the boards crashed and lost my 6,000 post counts but I feel better now. ;D I had to re-register and now I'm back as Howard with my own picture of my beautiful self! Everything looks pretty much back to normal now and status quo so let's get back to business! ;D

This new board looks great!!!  Three Cheers for Chucky and Daveyboysmith for working overtime for us to enjoy the boards again.  It has been greatly missed. 

I miss editing my own posts, but I guess that would mess up the software. It'll take awhile for me to get used to the new thread, but it's better than no messageboard at all. Thanks for all the work you've put for the new format, Chucky :D

The font got bigger! Signatures, what's above and under one's avatar, stats at the top...everything that was once in small letters got bigger! It looks better smaller. It especially makes what's around avatars and signatures look less busy. Just a thought...

I like the new site,though i miss being a royal penguin!I also liked the country flags on the posts.I'll wait and see if i like not having the voting in separate forums----if i don't feel like voting,i wopuld hate to have to always go down a few pages to find a 'normal'thread1Cheers!
