This is to let Chucky know that someone is once again sneaking popup ads onto this site. When I went to this site, I got one for "GoToMyPC".

check your machine for spyware.. I haven't got any 3rd party ads running on my site..

I do have a small test ad running on the amiright, but I created it for the person, and it's strictly a static image..

What is spyware?  I have popkill installed, but I still get tons of pop-ups (not here, but on other sites).

when you install stuff like imesh or Kaaza, they install extra software on your machine.. if you visit amiright.com and see the extra messages at the top of the screen, you need to follow the instructions to remove the software..

popup killers can't kill all popups either.. I noticed promoxitron does a good job, and it's free (not shareware or anything, just free)

If you dont want to lose programs such as Kaaza if you have it then you dont want to get rid of the spyware cause getting rid of the spyware will uninstall the program from your computer.  So you need to be careful if you get a program that will take spyware off your compuer and make sure that you know exactly what your getting rid of couse you could accidently get rid of something you didnt want to.

What happened to the spyware auto-detect feature on this website? Is it still there? If so, maybe it should be updated to detect the latest spyware - if that's possible, of course.

it's not really that effective I'm afraid. It catches some of the more common ones, but the newer or rarer ones are probably harder to snag. I really recommend Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, which just came out with an update this week.. so it should help out quite a bit..

I get popup ads loads of times. The only popups I allow is the ones that come off my Norton Antivirus Personal aware and Norton Antivirus virus scan!  :( :( :scared:
