Subject: Do I stay online when I'm off?
Written By: philbo_baggins on 04/26/02 at 06:11 a.m.
I've got the "always online" box checked on this PC so I don't have to keep entering my password... but it's a bit like the fridge light - how does the messageboard know I've closed my browser window, so surely it's showing me as always being logged in... Unless, of course, there's a timeout in there somewhere.
Does the tree falling in the wood make a noise when there's nobody to hear it falling?

Well, I found this out. I'm like you, I checked the "always logged in" box. I surf using IE6, but when I left this site, I opened up another browser, Netscape, and went to this site. I found out that I wasn't there, since I did not log in to this site using the Netscape browser. So there.
