Subject: Anything else you'd like to see on amIwrong?
Written By: ChuckyG on 01/08/07 at 12:11 pm
These are the following items I'm considering for the site in the next few months. If there's something missing from the site you'd like to see, let me know
Comments on quizzes - let people leave feedback about quizzes they have taken
Tag clouds - the ability to add custom labels to quizzes, with indexes based on those tags
Upload images/sounds - not sure if I want the legal risks involved
Cosmetic changes - would like a picture for the top of the site, maybe some icons for the quizzes

Quiz comments is a good idea :)

These are done. Or at least, they're now on the site. The message feature still needs some additional functionality from an administration point of view, but until there is a lot of comments being made, probably not entirely necessary yet.
The Tag feature. I was originally going to make this something for the quiz authors to use. For now, I'm just sticking to using this as something for me to tag decade specific quizzes, so they'll show up on the decade sites. I'll probably do something more for figuring out how to break up the main indexes of the custom sections, but I don't know that it'll be based around types of quizzes or anything.
So, if you check out inthe80s.com right now, you will notice the ten most recent 80s related quizzes for music, movies and TV are up there. inthe90s and inthe70s will follow suit soon enough. Not sure about inthe00s.

I have something I would like to see.
I was wondering if on the Authors' pages, you could put soemthing like this :
An overall summary of all of the particular author's quizzes :
33 quizzes - 63 %
and also break them down by category :
Music - 24 quizzes - 74 %
Movies - 1 quiz - 40 %
Television - 3 quizzes - 59 %
Misc - 6 quizzes - 66 %
Would that be a hard thing to do ?

no. Probably not going to allow people to do that. At least, I'm not planning on it yet.

Something I was thinking of today...
Is it possible to add a "search" option? I mean, there's over 10,000 quizzes... ???
and something else that would be kinda neat IMHO:
How about a "random quiz" option, like the one you have on the Arcade?
Dunno if these are possible, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Those are good suggestions. I'd love to be able to search for quizzes

random sure, that's SUPER easy.
search. what would people be searching? strictly questions? answers too? maybe make than an option?
I'm sure I can whip up a search engine too

Looking forward to that! :) That way all those "long forgotten" quizzes would get a play too again. ;)

Optional, I'd say. Maybe include 'subject' or 'title' too. There's still a lot of miscellaneous quizzes, and I don't think people have/take the time to scroll through them all.
I'm sure I can whip up a search engine too
Cool! Thanks for the quick response. 8)

I can see that people might search for quizzes on a particular artist/actor or time period or genre

i know that's hard.

i know that's hard.
It's especially tough for me though, because I generally don't get to see the site as an end user does. I'm too caught up with the mechanics of the whole thing. I only skim most of the new stuff coming in, I don't really get to take the quizzes, plus I do see the answers ahead of time, so I couldn't really remain impartial to the whole thing.
I know I did find this one a clever subject though:

hec seems to have disappeared though.
