Subject: Album cover parody problem
Written By: lpg_unit on 05/13/07 at 11:36 pm
Hi! I'm about to parody an album cover, and the problem is, certain original album covers (such as Filipino music CDs, which is in my parody hitlist; no insult intended) won't show up on Am I Right after posting the right Amazon URL. We might need a bugfix for this...

give me the url you are trying. occasionally they change how they construct the URL and it screws up the script

OK, here's the URL:
http://www.amazon.com/Lea-Salonga/dp/B000002IWW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-1610195-8295065?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1179284995&sr=1-2
I have more URLs of certain album covers that don't seem to work properly - the Am I Right server detects a certain Amazon URL as valid, but it ends up with a null original album image.

I just tried it, and it shows up on the preview screen. maybe it's your ad blocking software or something?

strange. maybe the URL got cut off when you pasted it or maybe amazon had a glitch.

I just now, had the same problem. I posted the following URL for amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Whammy-B-52s/dp/B000002KYY/ http://www.amazon.com/Whammy-B-52s/dp/B000002KYY/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-9479311-1022562?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1180671493&sr=1-1
for B-52s - Whammy album.
and it keeps telling me Couldn't find an album image for the URL specified.
I submitted al album cover last night with no problem at all and it showed up just fine.
I will try again in about an hour and see if the problem happens again.

Try the following syntax:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000
Where B00000 is the product code, like in the example, which leads to the album you are trying to access:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000002KYY/
EDIT: This is the URL I use when I have problems with submitting album covers...
