Subject: Father from the 70's
Written By: slacker on 06/18/10 at 9:22 pm
OK everyone, this is a little game.
Father's Day is this weekend, so...
Name a show (TV series or movie) from around the 70's
that had a Father you liked or respected.
I'll start it off with Courtship of Eddies Father (Bill Bixby, the Hulk 8))
A close relationship between son and unmarried father (the son was going to fix that unmarried part ;D)
Here is the theme song... remember?

Mr. Eddie's father.
Good show
The father I respected, Mike Brady of the Brady Bunch. It was my favorite show of that time period.

Two people came to mind initially... Howard Cunningham (from Happy Days) and Uncle Bill (from Family Affair)...he was a stand in father figure for Buffy, Jodie and Sissy. It was probably on around the same time as Courtship of Eddie's Father. :-\\

Uncle Bill was a good dad. John Walton (father on "The Waltons") was a good dad too.

I also hated Mrs. Beasley, too. I knew several girls who had their own Mrs. Beasley and I am SOOOOO glad that no one even THOUGHT about getting me one. 8-P 8-P 8-P
