I chose two from your list ... Love Me Tender and Rollover Beethoven. Walk the line was almost chosen as well.. :-\\
I also like:
The Great Pretender - The Platters
I've Got You Under My Skin - Frank Sinatra (my favourite)
You Don't Know Me - Jerry Vale
Why Do Fools Fall In Love - The Teenagers

What about you, fairie07 all these great song topics and you haven't picked any songs yet...your votes count too!
For this one I chose Great pretenders by The Platters it isn't really a fav of mine I just think it's the best one lol.
Sorry for the edit, I meant on the 1955 songs not this one. So yes 1955, The Platters.

Believe me I'm voting. I only made one vote for this one. Elvis Presley's "I Want You, I Need You, I Love" cause I like how he belts out the words to this one.

From the list, I picked Don't Be Cruel, Blueberry Hill, and Roll Over Beethoven. I also picked Other
My "other" songs:
Long Tall Sally - Little Richard
Ain't Got No Home - Clarence "Frog Man" Henry (a little more obscure but I love this one)
I forgot to, so I'll add:
Why Do Fools Fall In Love - Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers

I went with "Other".
Why Do Fools Fall in Love? - Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers
&
I Put a Spell on You - Screamin' Jay Hawkins
( I don't know if this second one was considered a hit in 1956, but it's too odd not to include or mention )

Much too 'off the wall' for British tastes, so therefore never got released here...
...so we had this instead!

One half of a double A-side no less!
(The other side ('Bloodnok's Rock And Roll Call') was the first British record with 'rock and roll' in the title to chart!)

Of those listed, I like "Hound Dog", "I Walk The Line", and "Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be)". Not sure on "others" (write-ins) yet.
