Shake, Rattle, and Roll actually became more popular for Bill Haley & His Comets before Rock around The Clock's release in 1955 and I'd rate it up there. I also enjoy Hernando's Hideaway (with the castanets), Perry Como's Wanted, and Rosemary Clooney's This Ole House. The show Your Hit Parade was the greatest media influence on providing the hits at the time.
