Subject: Long hair prior to the '60s?

For anyone who was around in the 50s or early 60s or even earlier, do you recall seeing any guys with long hair prior to say 1965? By long I mean chin length or lower hair. When did you first start noticiing men who had long hair?

I remember the group of guys that used to follow Jesus around had long hair...but that was a fair while ago now! ;)
