Subject: "Spooky" by Classics IV (1968)

When I think about oldies that I like, I tend to forget this one, but I remember it as a kid in the mid 80s. It was on a mixtape my uncle made for my mom (along with new songs) so I always liked it. Perfect Halloween song, and it doesn't really sound dated to me either.

This was covered hauntingly by Dusty Springfield, which always gives me the shivers.

Members of Classics IV re-grouped later as Atlanta Rhythm Section and re-recorded it and made it a hit all over again. I like the Classics IV version, but it is the ARS version that I always hear on classic radio

Well thatwas interesting .....................The Puppini Sisters' version is the most unique interpretation of the song I've heard.
I found this version that is interesting. I liked Dusty's version....
