Subject: Bracelet lost in donut story
Written By: Butterball on 02/01/08 at 8:19 pm
I remember a very popular story of a wealthy woman stopping at a donut shop. Some how she ends up making the donuts and loses her diamond bracelet in the dough. She offers a reward for anyone who finds the bracelet. Anyone remember this story? I'd like to find the book or short story.

That's the one! Thank you so much, Tam. I read the book way back in the late 60's and also seen the movie in class on the reel to reel projector.

Glad I could be of assistance. ;)
Personally, I have no clue about the book but I love google... especially when google doesn't like to give you what you are looking for. Makes you dig even deeper and use obscure words and such to find it!

Oh man, I totally forgot about that one! :)
(If I remember right, he also had an uncle named Ulysses.)

I also remember seeing the movie (also on an old projector) when I was a kid, it looked like it was made in the 40's or 50's.
