OMG! Flashbacks!
Philip just posted "bananas" in a word game, and seeing that triggered a LONG-forgotten memory: that fun TV show called "The Banana Splits." :)

I remember it. In the UK it was shown during the school holidays. I can probably remember the theme tune as well.
One banana,two banana
three banana, four
five bananas make a bunch and so do many more
flipping like a pancake, popping like a cork
Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snork
I also still sometimes say things from the Arabian Knights cartoon which which shown during the programme.

Wow, you remember way more than me! 'Course I remember so few things from childhood-- *sigh*
I found some sites commemorating the show--maybe they have audio clips of the theme song that I can listen to to bring it all back. :)

Though the video quality wasn't good, it sure hit the spot! I definitely remember the song now and that clip--especially the falling on the slides part--oh yea, and the cars too--and... ;)

I miss that show. ;D
Some people say it's a mild take-off on the Monkees. I'm a Monkees fan and I just don't see any similarity. :-\\
