Apart from the Bob Seger cover, there's also a version by Emmylou Harris that hit #5 in Dutch Top 40 in 1977. I'm having a hard time finding a copy of that version, btw.

And as long as we're talking about covers and the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, there were two (!) industrial covers (one by Hotbox, one by Jude Graham, aka Hexedene) on the 1998 Cyberpunk Fiction parody/tribute soundtrack.
