I would add "3rd Stone From The Sun" & "Are You Experienced" to the list of Psychedelic Songs by Jimi Hendrix
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
I Am The Walrus - The Beatles
from 1970 the band Quatermass put out 1 album and utilized no guitars but had a supercharged totally amazing organ on 2 songs that were quite trippy. "Gemini" and "Make Up Your Mind"

Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys
Crimson and Clover - Tommy James and the Shondells
though both are cool songs (all be it a little cheesy IMO)
I think they were commercial songs trying too hard to be psychedelic.
that might just be me though :)

excellent song choice Kevin. I was just gonna add that when I saw you already had.
I will add 1 more Jimi Hendrix song that I personally experienced Psychedelically :D Dolly Dagger
yanno, when listening to Jimi's music while in a altered state of mind, one can't help but experience Psychedelia & that being said, if one is hallucinating, then just about any song is a Psychedelic song at that moment, but the ones mentioned in all of the above posts are some of the most well known and actually assist & contribute to a psychedelic trip because of the incredible instrument sounds and imagery a person gets from the lyrics.

In the video for "Fire" that masked man behind the drum kit is none other than Carl Palmer, Of Emerson Lake & Palmer
fame, when he was a mere lad of 18 years of age. He was the touring drummer because Drachen Theaker, the drummer
on the album, was afraid to fly.

I could name heaps, being a fan of that type of music...some of the more famous ones that haven't been listed include 'Incense and Peppermint' by Strawberry Alarm Clock, 'Age of Aquarius' by the Fifth Dimension, 'What About Me?' by the Quiksilver Messenger Service, 'Interstellar Overdrive' by Pink Floyd.etc.

25 o'clock by Dukes of the Stratosphear
Which I was surprised to learn was only released in 1985 (according to wiki anyway). I'm sure I remembered hearing it a year or so before that (being when I started to listen to 60's psychedelia). Must be the drugs distorted my memory! ;D

Two incredible debut albums which should be in your collections even if you only have a passing interest in 'psych'...they're that good!
'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' - Pink Floyd
'Are You Experienced' - Jimi Hendrix Experience
...although at times nearly equalled by others, nothing surpassed this pair...

First song that pops into my head is White Rabbit-Jefferson Airplane.
Others:
Incense & Peppermints-Strawberry Alarm Clock
I Want You-Beatles
Come Together-Beatles
Lucy in the Sky-Beatles (even though they claim it wasn't ::) )
Anything by the Doors
I'm sure I will think of others later.

They CLAIM that it came from a drawing that Julian Lennon drew as a boy. That may have been where they got the title but the subject matter...

not really considered in the psychedelic scheme
Crimson & Clover, Incense & Peppermints, Green Tambourine...these were sort of your bubblegum psychedelia.
Definitely the aforementioned Beatles & Hendrix.
Here's some of my favorite classic Floyd and Zappa for appetizers:
Pink Floyd: See Emily Play
Pink Floyd: Julia Dream
Pink Floyd: Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
Frank Zappa: Lumpy Gravy I & II
Frank Zappa: Help I'm A Rock!/It Can't Happen Here/Return of the Son of Monster Magnet
Frank Zappa: The Duke of Prunes
The term "psychedelic" coined by Huxley and Osmond in 1957 simply means "mind manifesting." Then there's the pop culture meaning of the word. Anything can be "psychedelic" in the original sense of the word if you make it so.

"Broken Arrow" by The Buffalo Springfield
"She's A Rainbow", "In Another Land", and "2000 Light Years From Home" by The Rolling Stones
"Only A Northern Song" and "Within You, Without You" by The Beatles
"Vegetables" by The Beach Boys
"Hard Coming Love" by The Untited States of America
"My White Bicycle" by Tomorrow
"My World Fell Down" by Sagittarius
"It's A Happening Thing" by The Peanut Butter Conspiracy
"1983... (A Merman I Should Turn To Be)" by Jimi Hendrix
"Tales of Brave Ulysses" by Cream
"Long Title: Do I Have to Do This All Over Again?" by The Monkees
1st two LPs by Terry Riley
I have to disagree with a couple of earlier posts...
The Strawberry Alarm Clock were most definitely a real psychedelic group and "Incense & Peppermints" was a legitimate psychedelic song.
And to the guy who said "Good Vibrations" was a song that "tried too hard" to be psychedelic... that song was begun in early 1966. It was as avant as anything The Beatles, Zappa, Floyd (or anyone else on the planet) was doing in early '66. It was right there in that mix of early experimentation/psychedelia. When Carl Wilson heard the instrumental track over the telephone he is reputed to have said to brother Brian that the music sounded "bizarre." I've seen many sites and books that mention "Good Vibrations" as being in the psychedelic genre. Check out the instrumental track on the Pet Sounds box set and give it a fresh listen.

To name a individual song by artists that were considered psychedelic is tough as there were so many bands of that genre. 13th Floor elevators are definetly psychedelic as are LOVE. Forever Changes by LOVE was released in 67 i believe and is one of the genres best albums. Captain beefheart is another artist in that genre. Stranger in Blue Suede Shoes by Kevin Ayers is a wicked psycho song as well.
