You have heard the rumors, you tried to trace it, but what clues can you find toward the most notorious hoax ever in rock music that you didn't see before?

I think it's when everyone thought Paul McCartney was dead. On the Abbey Road Album cover, Paul is bare foot etc.

Pauley Shore?

He should have gone a long time ago, well before Son-In-Law ever came out.

Owen Paul?

He's My Favourite Waste of Time :D
"Owen Paul has made two television appearances to forget: the first was on the BBC live programme Pebble Mill, when he was meant to mime to My Favourite Waste Of Time, but due to a technician's mistake, he missed his cue. The second came much later, as the unfortunate guest of a neighbour to The Osbournes, when as a result of playing music in a neighbouring garden, he provoked Ozzy and the rest of his dysfunctional family into throwing food."

I'm probably the only one, but with my esoteric tastes in music, "Revolution 9" is my favorite Beatles "song."  I wouldn't call it a song so much as a composition.

"Musique Concrete" is the proper term for that style of tape collage.  A French composer, Pierre Schaeffer, coined the term in 1948.

This was the direct influence of Yoko Ono, who was part of the Fluxus avant-garde art movement.

The Beatles were smart to bury the track at the end of the second record when everybody was to stoned to put on another album.  Thus, people began to listen to that dense collage and they began to hear stuff, not all of which was there!

It all started this date September 17th in 1969, when the media on both sides of the Atlantic were running stories that said Paul McCartney was dead. He was supposedly killed in a car accident in Scotland on November 9th, 1966 and that a double had been taking his place for public appearances. In fact, Paul and his girlfriend Jane Asher were on vacation in Kenya at the time.
