Runaround Sue was a great song. Abraham, Martin and John just blows me away. The Wanderer is a favorite of mine. :)

They were the best Do Wop group in the their beginings and held on through the Beatles arrival longer then most Do Wop groups back then.

If you like it, it has to good. I'll check it out, I always liked him and I like the Blues music especially the Delta blues sounds of whining guitars and harmonicas...love the movie "Crossroads" with Ralph Macchio and Joe Seneca, I watch it quite often. "Bronx in Blue" sounds more like smokey bar city blues, which is real cool too. I'll see. Thanks

Great topic, Whistledog!
"Who could be hipper than Dion?"
--Lou Reed
My five:
a. Where or When
b. Teenager in Love
c. Run Around Sue
d. The Wanderer
e. I Wonder Why
Trivia:
"The Belmonts" referred to Belmont Avenue in the Bronx, which was a big Italian section, though not anymore. My mom went to high school in Belmont, Mass., in the late '50s, so Dion and The Belmonts were sort of a mascot band then.
They asked Dion if there really was a "Runaround Sue," he said, yeah there was, but her name was Delores, and the only thing he could make rhyme with Delores wouldn't fly in '61!

Looks like the first option in the poll got overwritten by one of the other options. :o If only I knew what that option was, I could possibly vote for it.
