Youtube seems to be worldwide so it depends on who uploads what onto the site.
Its just a matter of waiting until someone decides to upload these things.

Has he ever gone back?
Some fascinating and very good stuff there...very sadly, a lot of British stuff from the same period was never committed to VT...even if it was, the VT would be 'wiped' and used again!
Yes, Gerry Humphries' vocals are very much like Burdon's in delivery (but I can't imagine Burdon hitting those 'high' passages!)
Wonderful stuff to see, holicman...thanks for sharing...

Thanks for going through the trouble to link all those wonderful musical vids, holciman. Looking back at old clips like that makes me appreciate just how rich Australia's Rock music heritage is, and how much we contributed to the rest of the world.

The very same...although the regional ITV companies were also to blame to some extent...
Another good source for 60s music clips is from a programme called Beat Club...a German TOTP, if you like...
I'm sure the Dutch and French TV companies have quite a bit in their archives too...

There are alot of videos around the net from the Beat club :)
and cheers for your kind words :)
Rolf Harris as far as I know came back to Australia in the seventies and had his own show " the Rolf Harris hour".
I believe he went back to the Uk in about the early 80's and has lived there ever since, though he has been back to Australia on a few occasions.

Bayswater is in Victoria, so if he grew up here in victoria that would make sense, I didnt know he was born in WA.
Cheers Phillip :)

Exactly !! He is famous for it and even wrote a song about it. Cant fathom where Trimac got Bayswater from. Yes its a suburb in Perth and yes its starts with B - but there the similarity ends !

May be the connection with Bayswater in London?

Nah more likely just the fact that kids these days dont know their local history !
Rolf has a stunning old home in Windsor - I have seen it and its a gorgeous looking building. I remember he got badly flooded when the river overflowed one year.
He still visits his friends and family here regularly. His most recent visit was for a high school reunion and before that for Bassendean's anniversary celebrations and for a park being named after him.

I think that about most of our classics from those days. We were very insular then. Glad you enjoyed Eagle Rock - its a genuine classic and still played with as much fervour today as it was then. In fact I am sure Ross will play it at the Countdown Concert next month and I cant wait !!
have a look here - countdown.com.au - great site about eh TV show of the 70s and 80s that promoted aussie and overseas bands etc. Stories about each band - including video clips etc.

I'm glad this thread just happened to get bumped, because I'm really starting to dig the Easybeats.
Easybeats - Sorry
(I heard this for the first time last week on Little Steven's Underground Garage)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drNqZWzj5GY
Easybeats - Friday On My Mind
(IMO, one of the greatest pop songs of all time)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zB0RygrYy8
(The rhythm guitarist with the dark hair and the sideburns is George Young, older brother of Angus and Malcolm Young from AC-DC.)
