I know "Green Acres" did, and it was circa 1965. Many will say "The Munsters" or "The Flintstone's", but actually it was a little remembered 1947 television show called "Mary Kay and Johnny".

there was a series called Mary Kay and Johnny in 1947 and that couple shared a bed.
In the 50's Lucy and Ricky had two beds with seperate covers but they were pushed together. and looked like a full bed.
Rob and Laura were in seperate beds in the early 60's
but I am pretty sure Darrin and Samantha shared a bed.
We know that Mike and Carol shared a bed so it must have been more common by the time TV went color.
What I can't remember though is did Fred and Wilma share a bed. I want to say in some eps they did and in others they didn't... anyone remember? I haven't watched the flintstones in years!

I still can't understand why it was so no/no in those days to show a man and woman sleping in the same bed. If they always slept in twin beds, then how the hell did they have children? ;D

I would say it could be Rob and Laura Petrie on the Dick Van Dyke Show.

No Rob and Laura definately had Twin Beds. They were always very affectionate in the living room but apparently not in the bedroom :)

The title of the episode is Lucy is Enceinte which means Lucy is Pregnant...
Oddly enough, the name of the next episode (according to IMDB) was "Pregnant Woman Are Unpredictable"!

Yeah, I'm guessing since the average American didn't know episode titles they were able to get away with this.
