Subject: Favorite Sesame Street Character
Written By: star500 on 12/30/05 at 11:01 am
I would choose Big Bird, with the Two Headed Monster under Other coming in close second. ;D Also I'd like everyone to feel free to post their favorite Sesame Street moment as well, since the show has been on for almost 37 years now.

I choose Ernie because he was so funny in his interactions with Bert

When I was of Sesame Street watching age it was #1: Oscar the Grouch, #2: Bert & Ernie, #3: Cookie Monster. Those I mentioned plus Kermit & Big Bird were pretty much all there were back when I was a lad.

My favourite was Ernie, and Oscar the Grouch.
I also liked those martians with the googly antennas that spoke Jibberish. (yep yep yep yep yep yep.............aahuh aahuh.........yep yep yep)
I remember randomly flicking the TV over one day and Sesame street was on.
The guest "in the street" that day was talking about sad feet :( and Happy Feet :)
It was none other than Jim Carrey.
My other favourite part of sesame street was the video montage they put together with the music of Jethro Tull's "living in the past".
I also liked that Pinball song where they counted to 12, and chose a special number each day.

As an adult now, i think back and think that big bird was a stoner, and that snuffy thing was his dealer who was afraid of being seen by everyone because he was a paranoid manic depressive that snorted coke or something heavier.
I think Bert either homosexual tendencies and no sense of humour, i think Ernie was totally oblivious to it.
The cookie monster was a stoner aswell.
The other one im surprised at is how long Bob, Luis and Maria stayed on sesame street, i think Bob is still there LOL !

Hi, everybunny, this is my first post.
My fave character as a kid was Don Music, cause of the way he banged his head on the piano and said, "oh, I'll never get it, never!" and I wanted to do the same thing when I was practicing the piano 30 minutes before my lesson each week.
Now I have a kidlet and my DVR is filled with Sesame. My favorite episode is "What Happens Next" with the Grouch game show. My favorite moment is when Ernie is trying to get Bert to use a banana for a phone and Bert says, "I'm not emotionally secure enough to do this."

Kermit, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, and Snuffleupagus....
Also at one time, there was a wheelchair-bound little girl on the show, I think her name was Tara or something like that...way cool that Sesame Street teaches diversity....that everyone is a worthwhile person.
I love the original theme song too, written by Joe Raposo...

I liked Mr. Snuffalupagus the best. I remember in the early days of Sesame Street, no one believed that he existed. LOL
I remember one day in my local video store, I saw some kind of Adult Porn video with a twist on Sesame Street starring some dude named Mr. Stuff-it-up-his-dick ;D

I love The Count. I haven't quite figured out why yet. Maybe it's his overexaguration of numbers. :)
