American wartime singer Frances Langford, known as the "Sweetheart of the Fighting Fronts", has died at the age of 92.

I shall have to dig out my copy of 'I'm In The Mood For Love' and give it a spin...
Our equivalent, Dame Vera, is still going strong (Gawd bless 'er!), but a lot of British servicemen of the time apparently preferred Anne Shelton, who had that certain 'naughtiness' to her that Vera didn't...

Vera Lynn made an appearance at the WW2 celebrations last Sunday, but did not sing.
