when you play poker, a donkey is a player new to the game who doesnt know what they are doing.
When the donkey wins a hand over the player that knows what they are doing the good player gets angry........and having a gambling problem kills the donkey and gets caught, hence the tears.
Daddy cries because he ends up in jail over murdering the donkey to recover any winnings........thats what they told us in kindergarten anyway ;)

Yeah, the way I grew up playing it, a bunch of kids would put their feet together in a circle

And someone would do the inky pinky ponky, and the person picked at the end would remove their foot. This would continue until 2 remained, the last one standing wins.
And as a kid you won everything from my Bad album to toys to gum, to who got to be IT playing Hide and Seek. LOL.
