What songs of the 60s and 50s have a great beach vibe?
a few of my choices:
Good Vibrations(Beach Boys, 1966)
Build Me Up Buttercup(1969)
...leave the rest to you ;)

Something told me a summer music before the 1970s thread was coming.
Some that I like...
A Summer Place -- Percy Faith
Stoned Soul Picnic -- The 5th Dimension (my second favorite)
All Summer Long -- The Beach Boys
A Summer Song -- Chad and Jeremy
Pipeline -- The Chantays
Grazing in the Grass -- The Friends of Distinction or Hugh Masekela
California Sun -- Rivieras
Hot Fun in the Summertime -- Sly & the Family Stone
The Girl From Impanema -- Stan Gertz and Joao Gilberto
Mais Que Nada -- Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 (my first favorite)
Do You Know the Way to San Jose? -- Dionne Warwick

So many.
Walking in the Sand (Remember)- Shangri-Las
Sunny Afternoon-The Kinks
Sealed with a Kiss-Bobby Vinton (I know, kind of cheesy)
Anything by the Beach Boys
Wipe Out-The Surfaris
The Theme to Summer of '42 (The Summer Knows)-Michel Legrand
Summertime-from Porgy and Bess (I really like how Sam Cooke did it)
Another song that is an 80s song but I have to mention it is Circle in the Sand-Belinda Carlisle
There are more but that is all I can think of right now.

Sorry to be so nitpicky, but "Sealed with a Kiss" by Bobby Vinton is from 1972 (awful close though).

No prob. Thanks for correcting me on that. But, like I said, it is still cheesy but I like it.

Maybe you were thinking of the Brian Hyland original 1962 version?
Both are good but sound basically the same.

Yeah, that's it. I knew someone did it before Bobby V. did.

BTW, Gary Lewis & the Playboys also took it to #19 in 1968.
