Some great old songs and favorites of mine are 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down', 'Stage Fright', 'Rag Mama Rag' :)

I'm not a connoisseur of this lot, but some good stuff from what I've heard...
'The Weight', 'Up On Cripple Creek' and 'Rag Mama Rag' in that order...
Good though their version was, I always regard Joan Beaz's version of 'Dixie' as the definitive one...

I don't get to hear her version much, I like it too, it by The Band is a staple on the radio still, Levon Helm really pours alot of emotion into singing it. :)

The Weight is a great piece of work. I never tire of it.
I prefer The Bands version of Dixe.

I remember seeing a biography on them, this album was recorded in LA after they left 'Big Pink' in upstate NY :)
