Subject: Question for Beatles fan
Written By: ADH13 on 03/24/05 at 12:42 am
Does anyone know the correct name of the birthday song?
I've seen & heard it referred to as:
"Birthday"
"Happy Birthday"
"The Birthday Song"
"Today's Your Birthday"
Was just curious which is correct. I like that song alot, but I think it's very un-Beatles-like. Do you guys agree?

It is simply called "Birthday" and I think it is classic, latter 60's Beatles. That is just my opinion, of course :)
You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too, yeah
They say it's you birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you
Yes we're going to a party, party
Yes we're going to a party, party
Yes we're going to a party, party
I would like you to dance (birthday)
Take a cha-cha-cha-chance (birthday)
I would like you to dance (birthday)
Ooo, dance, yeah
I would like you to dance (birthday)
Take a cha-cha-cha-chance (birthday)
I would like you to dance (birthday)
Ooo, dance
You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too, yeah
They say it's you birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
