Besides "Both", I would select Daffy Duck.  8) Though both had their moments.

I voted for Donald because he is such a faceted dementional character. In each situation he spirals to his doom with the ultimate quacking fit preceding his catastrophy.  Daffy is simply daffy ;D

In the 50's Daffy Duck became greedy...

Though I prefer the crazy Daffy gtom the '30's & '40's

Some cartoons from the '50's were great like "Duck, Rabbit, Duck" & "Duck Doggers of the 24 1/2 Century".  :)


As for Donald, I liked cartoons where he's with Mickey & >SHUDDERS< Goofy or up against Chip & Dale.  :)

Each cartoon imparted a valuable message ??? Eg. Donald would start off in situations where he would make sport of others, like Huey, Duey, and Louie in the Halloween episode. The nephews just wanted treats, but Donald reveled in the trick part. The episode(s) continue with the abused characters engineering plans to get Donald back which they do with surgical precision until Donald is defeated, like the nephews use dynamite to blow the locks off Donald's refrigerator to get the treats.

Daffy cartoons also have ludicrous scenarios, like when he was a salesman, I think for vacuum cleaners, and he went to the home of 3 huge starving lumberjacks.  While Daffy is giving his schpeal, the lumberjacks are sizing him up as a big roasted turkey dinner.  Daffy ultimately runs amuck with his wooh hooo woo hooo chaotic riff :D

Daffy always had his beak shot off from Elmer Fudd ;D

Why? Daffy is way too egotistical and he's very selfish. Donald can get selfish, but he's more hot-headed and stubborn and nothing goes right for him even when he's not doing anything.
