Subject: Purple Haze and Jessica Simpson?

I have a ?. Awhile back I was searching for Purple Haze, and I found a lot of MP3s that had the name connected with Jessica Simpson. I really hope this is her own song, and not a cover? Because if so, WTF? That would be... depressing? Poor Jimi, was probably rolling in his grave.

I hope not, there are so many newer artists that have tried to cover old songs and screwed them royally.

For example:

Brittany Spears - I love Rock and Roll
Hilary Duff - My Generation (done by the Who)
Vanessa Carlton - Paint It Black

Anyone know any others?

I hope she doesn't cover Purple Haze. She'd probably end up in a purple haze after no one buys her version ;D

I hate it when an old song is done in that stupid club mix sound! Or when they use the music for some silly hip hop song!
