My choice "Addams Family" (Coming back to TV Land in a few weeks)  8)

loved the adams family!

I used to watch both when I was little...I personally hate the way hollywierd has cashed in (or tried to) on the shows by making them into movies though ::)

Addams family!      They win hands down, Herman was stupid and granpa was terrible with magic.....addams family are so much better.

As a child I preferred the Addams Family, but I've seen them both repeated in recent years and I now prefer the Munsters.

BBC have recently been showing old Munsters episodes and I've been enjoying watching them with my son.

Another question for you: does anyone prefer the remakes that were made of both shows in the 80s/90s? I thought they were awful! The highlight of the remade Addams Family was the episode where John Astin made a guest appearance as Gomez's father.

The Munsters without any doubt.Perfectly cast and brilliant fun.

True, but so was Lily. It was a sad day in January this year when Yvonne De Carlo died. But I don't suppose she was as hot at 84!

I had to go with "Both".  Loved the Munsters as a smaller tyke, more Addams family as a pre-adolescent/early teen.

The two shows were quite different - but both lovable.

I like both.

defintely the munsters. i actually didn't even see an espisode of the addams family 'till about 2 years ago.

the munsters just seem more likeable to me.

The Addams Family of Charles Addams was itself too dark and macabre for a sixties sit-com so it was Addams Family Lite.

So when they made the Addams Family movie in 1991, they tried to recapture the dark humor of the original New Yorker cartoons.  They did OK, but would have done much better if they got Tim Burton to direct it, rather than Barry Sonnenfeld.

I loved the Addams Family more than the Munsters, probably because The Munsters actually scared me a little. While the Adamses were real people, the Munsters were all types of funky creatures like werewolves and vampires and things. Really scared me when I was a kid.

I like them both now though.  ;D

I'm going with the Munsters as I grew up with them more.

Definitely The Munsters!  I watched them both, but something about The Munsters hooked me more.  Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis kept me in stitches.  :)

I could relate more to the Munsters when I was younger,when Igot older I could understand the humor of The Addams Family

I liked them both for different reasons. Probably Addams Family was a cleverer show. The blonde niece starred with Elvis Presley in Paradise Hawiaan Style, I think.
