The REAL Beach Boys were very good....I chose "Don't Worry Baby" for a very personal reason :)

I couldn't choose between any of the 700+ Beach Boys choons I have owned, let alone a subsection of classics..
At this very moment, though, I have to go for Don't Worry Baby. I guess I'm in that kinda mood, though it could have been any of hundreds more...

The Beach Boys are one of my favourite groups!!! :)
Tough "California Girls" was the 1st song I've heard from them, my favourite is "God Only Knows".
I love it so much!!!!
I also like "Good Vibrations", "California Girls", "Kokomo".....

I really dig that track, from the Today album. Possibly the best track there for me. It was really the final step towards real Pet Sounds lyrics and content, and it was one of the best ways to preludes to it.
Personally, I think it's an injustice that it did so badly chartwise.
Did you know a song called "Please Let me Wonder" also by Beach Boys?

God Only Knows is their best song, IMHO. Slowly, they sought to back away from the beach scene into something more deep. In My Room is the next song of theirs I enjoy.

I hit 14 in the 60's while living in Florida panhandle and have some great memories of the Beach Boys. For a couple of years I patterned my wardrobe by what they wore during on TV appearances or on album covers.(Man, wuz I ever cool ;D)

The only song of theirs I could tolerate "Good Viberations" since most of their songs sound the same are too corny, IMO. And I liked the "DTV" clip that featurred 'Good Viberations' with clips of the animated movie "Alice In Wonderland' as a kid.
Not intended to be rude, but what makes The Beach Boys legendary?
The same for Jan & Dean, which were around the same time as The Beach Boys.
I have listened to most of their songs, and I just don't care for them since most were just fluff about being at the beach or surfing which I find too dated (no offense to people who grew up in the 1960's) unlike The Beatles.

'When I Grow Up' is my favorite.
I adore that song... It's in my top 2 for Beach Boys. It really does capture a feeling that most adolescent young men have on the edge of manhood.

I Get Around & Help Me, Rhonda were the only two 45's I purchased by them; I liked Jan & Dean and Ronnie & the Daytona's better as far as beach bands went....will 'always & forever' associate the Four Seasons & Drifter's with summer 'fun, fun, fun' at the Jersey shore.
