Any of Lucille Ball's shows would get my vote. Everyone in "I Love Lucy" was shrill and obnoxious, and they force-fed Vivian Vance like a French goose to keep her fat.

No question, Lawrence Welk. When I was a kid, before our house had 2 TV's, I had to suffer through this cornball crap every Saturday evening. Now, since I've gotten a little older, I've started to appreciate some of the music my parents were into, like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. But NOT Lawrence Welk. They still have reruns of ol' Larry on the local PBS station and I showed my 11-year-old nephew what I had to endure. He told me he felt sorry for me. If I ever wake up one day and find myself liking Lawrence Welk, I swear to God I'm gonna step in front of a bus. (By the way, Andy Griffith rules.)

I personally love Lucille Ball, but Leave it to Beaver was torture!!! It was so cheezy and corny, it gives the 50's a bad name.
