We all know about the big hits that 60's groups had. But in most cases, these same groups also had an interesting song or songs that never quite made the Top 10; for obvious reasons. I'll list an example, and you nice people can go from there...

(Odd but powerful anti-war song. Some parts of the choruses almost sound like a Gregorian chant.)

The Isley Brothers "Summer Breeze"
In 1964, with Jimi Hendrix on guitar, this song was better than most music from the 60's, but I guess black musicians weren't supposed to sound like that back then. Hendrix went to England after that and the Isley Brothers dropped the Rock sound. In the 70's, Seals and Krofts did a watered down, sappy version of the song that was a bigger hit. I'll never understand why.
