Subject: Old TV Show Intro Question.

Ok, here goes. I can recall as a very young kid in the early 1970's a tv show my dad used to watch at night. All I can remember was that it showed some cowboy (?) in the distance at night walking towards the camera while carrying a flashlight of some sort. I believe there was whistling going on in the background music. Anyway, as it ends the cowboy has pretty much walked up to the camera and you only see his boots walking thru the dirt.
Any ideas on what show this is from? I'm pretty sure it was the intro, but it could have been the end title sequence. I remember seeing this in 1973 or so.

Your answer is: It was from the NBC mystery movies that ran weekly..it would have a variety of shows on it from Columbo to (I think McCloud). The scene you described was the opening, then they would tell you the stars of the night and what show it was...
