On this date 44 years ago we lost Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper when their plane crashed after takeoff near Clear Lake, IA. :'(

Inspired by an album track from Elton John's "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player" album, they would have eventually formed together with Elvis and Jim Morrison to become.....

I was just talking to my honey about that last night. Buddy Holly really revolutionized Rock-n-Roll. I wonder if his music would have grown (as the Beatles did in the late 60s). It makes you wonder where Rock-n-Roll would have gone if that tragic crash never happened.
