Subject: Parodies

Written By: Butch on 01/31/03 at 03:54 p.m.

Hi there! Does anyone OUT THERE remember a couple of song parodies from the late 50s or so?

The one I most want to find is a parody of Johnny Horton's "Sink the Bismark" that began "In May of 1942 or maybe '43, we sailed with Captain Tuna, the Chicken of the Sea." There was also a parody of Jim Reeves' "He'll Have to Go" ("Put your fat lips a little closer to the phone, don't you try to tell me that you're all alone..." Something like that!).

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I thought it might help to add that as a subject line. Jog anybody's memory?  ::)
