That's the lead singer for the Brooklyn Bridge, right?  He did have a great voice.  Only problem I have is that their biggest hit, "The Worst that Could Happen to Me" was such a depressing song. They had a later song (it's frustrating because I can remember the words better than the title) - it had the lines "Welcome me love/I know you don't know me/take my hand, there's a lot you can shoe me" that I think is 500% better, but wasn't nearly as big.  Can anyone help out with the title?

The title was in fact "Welcome Me Love."  Also, Maestro was also the lead singer for the Crests, whose best-known hit was "Sixteen Candles."  But if you see the movie with Molly Ringwald in it, they used a version by the 1980's rockabilly group The Stray Cats in it.

Yes he had alot of songs that were better then Worst that could happen, I have been to many of his concerts and they are just so "tight", so very smooth even with age...One of my favs is The Angels listened in....Both the Crests and Brooklyn Bridge were so powerful! I'm glad you all appreciate such a great singer...

I love "Sixteen Candles", but I never knew that he was the lead singer for the Crests.  I'm glad I checked out this thread.
